GEORGIA SWIMMING AWARDS
All annual awards are based off of the most recently completed season. The awards presented in 2020 recognize the accomplishments from the 2018-2019 season.
AGE GROUP & SENIOR STATE LCM GOLDEN PEACH AWARDS
The Golden Peach Awards honor persons in the following categories for age group swimmers (11-14 years old) and senior swimmers (15-18 years old): Breakout Performer of the Year, Perseverance Award, Relay Performance of the Year, Adaptive Athlete of the Year, Emerging Coach, Female Athlete of the Year, and Male Athlete of the Year.
Nominations open in February and will be accepted through March. All nominations will be verified and approved by the Award Committee before the next round of voting. Six (6) finalists will appear on the final ballot. Popular vote will be taken into consideration by the Award Committee but will not determine final award winners. Winners will be announced at the Age Group & Senior State Golden Peach Awards.
BETSY DUNBAR AWARD
An award of $1,000 will be presented every year to a Georgia swimmer who is currently in their fourth year of collegiate swimming. The Georgia Swimming Board of Directors will evaluate all nominees for this award on the basis of leadership, performance and academic achievement. To be nominated, the swimmer must have represented the Georgia LSC for their entire senior year prior to college and also every summer during their college career.

BILL YOUNG AWARD
The Bill Young Award is presented annually to a swimmer who graduate from high school during the spring of this competitive swim year. The Georgia Swimming Board of Directors will evaluate all nominees for this award based partially on swimming achievements and of equal importance, participation in and recognized achieved for non-swimming activities, such as scholarship and school-related activities, church and community service, etc.

PETE JUNKINS OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR AWARD - closed
This award was created in memory of longtime swimming volunteer, Pete Junkins. The Peter M. (Pete) Junkins Official of the Year Award is to recognize an official for their outstanding contributions to local swimming. Any athlete or non-athlete member can submit a candidate that is deserving of recognition. One official will be selected by the Georgia Swimming Officials Committee to be recognized annually at the Golden Peach Awards. The selected official will receive a one year USA Swimming membership renewal. Nominations should be emailed to Ed Saltzman, Officials Chair.

COACHES OF THE YEAR
An Age Group coach and a Senior coach will be selected as Coaches of the Year by the Coaches Committee after evaluating the Top 10 swimmer performance data. The Coaches of the Year will have one year to take a reimbursed trip to either ASCA or United States Aquatic Sports Convention, subject to available funds. Reimbursement is limited to registration, half the room rate and airfare. Awards will be paid for from the LSC budget.
